It is also a very unique time for us as educators (in whatever capacity we serve at Edgewood) to remember what a gift we have each day to make a difference and an impact in the lives of our students and families. There truly is no other profession that allows these wonderful opportunities each and every single day.
This past weekend I had quite a bit of time to reflect upon the status of the 2014-15 school year. What a year we have had thus far! Amidst all of the change – which will never cease to exist by the way! – we continue to put our collective efforts into creating a solution – oriented student and family centered school. These are the results of what happens when a group of people comes together to support a common cause – to do whatever it takes to best serve the students and families of Edgewood!
As the month turns into April, it is easy to begin to think about the end of the school year and begin to taper with excitement, motivation, etc. (think Senior slide mentality) However, I would really encourage each of us to not let this happen. Let’s finish the year strong! We still have over two months left of the 2014-15 school year to make a difference in the learning of our students and families. By now we can make some of our greatest strides because we have the relationships established.
Who’s with me on this challenge!?!?!?!?!?!
